The only thing better than another animated movie about pets? A movie about super-pets! Starring Dwayne Johnson as the voice of Krypto the Super-Dog, Warner Bros. Pictures’ newest action adventure feature film DC League of Super-Pets, is all about the cutest of pets with the coolest of newfound superpowers.
The film boasts a stellar voice cast, including the likes of Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, Kate McKinnon, Natasha Lyonne and many more.
The film follows Krypto the Super-Dog and his best friend/owner Superman, who happen to share the same superpowers and spend their days fighting crime in the city alongside one another. Disaster strikes as Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, and Krypto rallies a team of shelter pets with newfound powers to aid him in rescuing the abducted superheroes. His new team includes Ace the hound, PB the pot bellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel.
Jared Stern, previously known for his writing and consulting work on the “LEGO®” movies, makes his directorial debut for an animated feature film. He worked with his frequent collaborator John Whittington to write the screenplay, using the famed DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The film is produced by Patricia Hicks, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Jared Stern. We at &ASIAN can’t wait to hear the soundtrack for this movie, as the music is by Steve Jablonsky (best known for scoring the ‘Transformers’ films).
